| Abstract: | This international initiative was launched in March 2002 to serve librarians, publishers and intermediaries by facilitating the recording and exchange of online usage statistics. Librarians will be able to compare usage statistics from different vendors, publishers, and intermediaries and will be able to provide data in a customized format to customers, compare the relative usage of different delivery channels, aggregate data for customers that use multiple delivery channels and learn more about usage patterns. Counter released a Code of Practice that will be valid until the end of 2004. Release 2 is scheduled for publication in January 2004. ICSTI is supporting this effort. |
