| Author: | Dr. Clifford Lynch, Coalition for Networked Information |
| Abstract: | At the August 2002 CENDI meeting, Dr. Lynch reviewed several issues that are common to both the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) and CENDI and raised the possibility of joint opportunities between the two organizations. The issues reviewed include permanent public access; digital preservation; examining roles of libraries and commercial publishers; economics of digital preservation; institutional repositories; the use of public key infrastructure (PKI) and authentication; and security and preservation. He believes that partnerships will be critical in developing the science and technology critical infrastructure. |
