Abstract:This five page document summarizes the discussions on building a scientific electronic archive presented during the ICSTI 1997 General Assembly. Reviews are included for each speaker's presentation. Comparisons of the print and electronic publishing environment are made. Examples of electronic publishing projects in Japan are given. Final discussion centered on national and international issues in implementing a scientific electronic archive.
