| Abstract: | This white papers presents the key issues involved in the development of crosswalks between different metadata standards. It promotes the idea of harmonization when developing standards, so that families of standards are created that are more easily crosswalked. The paper calls for the development of a Metadata Specification Language (MSL) that would provide a consistent format and language for the documentation of a metadata standard. |
